The Wonderful Wizard of Oz

My mom doesn't think she is that great of a seamstress, but many think otherwise. She used to make our Halloween costumes every year and countless dresses for my sister and I. Now, she has two grandgals to spoil with homemade dress up clothes.

Her latest project was a Dorothy dress for Ads. The Wizard of Oz has been a staple in our family since my sister was a little girl. It was her absolute favorite (still is, see her special tree here) and now it's Addison's favorite too! Talk about "like mother like daughter". She wears this dress everyday, carries an imaginary basket with Toto in it, and each member of the family is a different character. I am the scarecrow if you were wondering.

Dorothy loves to accessorize, right? She said she couldn't decide so she just put them all on. She's also a woman....I can't even take this little girl.

I think my mom did a pretty swell job. I am off to see the wizard known as the barista at my local Starbucks! Enjoy this sunny day!

Etsy Finds: Vintage!

I have a blog routine that I strictly follow at work...while I'm uh, working of course, and I have been turned onto so many awesome Etsy shops and online stores because of thats habit. One of my all time favorite blogs, My Cakies, usually is the pusher to my online shopping addiction. Ruby Ellen--blogger, crafter extraordinaire, Mama of four adorable dolls, and wifey--never ceases to amaze me with all she gets done with all of those little ones. Today, I checked out two of the Etsy shops she talks about fairly often on her blog and have an extremely long wishlist already.

Ms. Tips has a slew of clothing and accessories for big gals and little gals! Her vintage finds are flawless and reasonably priced. Pay day in two weeks...pay day in two weeks....

Papas Good Ole Days has so many vintage toys, house decor, jewelry, etc. I wish I knew about this before Christmas because I have two swell nieces I love to spoil who would be thrilled to have any of it. And there are some things I wouldn't mind having either!

The Sadie Fay Takeover!

Today I'm going to start off 2012 by introducing you all to my adorably wild two year old Sadie Fay!

So this is how I Sadie Fay started my day! First i went to church with Mom and Dad. Then i made them take me to favorite restaurant Benihana!

I played with stickers and colored with my Dad while i waited for my food. My Dad is always trying to tell me how to color... um Dad I'm two i don't know how to draw roads for my cars to drive on!

Finally my soup arrives and my Mom made me wear this napkin in my shirt like a big dork! I tried to use the chop sticks but it is just too hard to pick up something liquid with wooden sticks... you would think my parents would try to warn me of this but NO! So i moved on to a spoon! Yummy in my tummy!!

So i finished my soup and watched and waited for my fried rice. 

Mom whats taking so long and why is this guy spinning knives with a two year old at the table?

Well lunch was great! That was the best meal i've had all year... haha get it?! After lunch we went on to have a relaxing day at home! Partly because it is the sabbath and partly because i am too wild to be out for too long in one day! So we went home and i put on my slippers Aunt Melisa got me for Christmas! Maybe i should clean this place up first... i do know how to make a mess!

All cleaned up... thanks Mom for doing it with me!

Now it's time to stop and watch some TV... i'm so much like my Mother!!!

That's all i have to say for today but don't worry i'll be back to blog again about food, TV, and fashion!

Best and Worst Dressed Celebrities of 2011!

So here is my opinion of the best and worst dressed celebs of the year!

There were so many to choose from good and bad but i had to narrow it down to two each... i couldn't pick just one I'm way too indecisive!

For best dressed it came down to the two Emma's! 

Emma Watson

I couldn't decide if it was the adorable haircut or the fashion!

Whatever it was it was working for her not only is she young and beautiful she is always dressed wonderfully. Whether its edgy or glamorous she always looks beautiful and age appropriate which i love and is very rare these days! It doesn't hurt that she is the face of Burberry which is one of my favorites!

Emma Stone

Now this girl has been around for awhile but this year she really stepped it up in the fashion department!

This Emma tends to be a little more trendy and quirky with her style and this funny girl pulls it off! She plays with different shapes and colors but never goes too far which is a concept that most celebs can't comprehend! If only we could all be this beautiful, funny, and fashionable!

Now for my two Fasholes of the year!

Christina Aguilera

Where do i start because it is all bad! i think i will start with the hair... one word insanity! Someone needs to explain to her what a hairbrush is or has she only been watching Little Mermaid and thinks its ok to use a fork to brush her hair! She just looks dirrrty... (sorry i had to)! I know i have said it before but i will keep saying it until she listens... please where clothes that fit your body! This isn't Lady Marmalade circa 2001 you are 31 years old and a mother now! I expect this type of things form the talentless Keisha's of the world but not from an amazing talent such as yourself! 

I want this Christina back!

Now this is someone who should know better and has dressed better for the last ten years... what happened to this once glamorous celeb?! I know you were mostly out supporting hubby Keith Urban but you think you would want to look your best to represent that hunky mans wife! Is it because you have been in the country too long and are letting the barn yard animals pick your clothes?! Please fix this in 2012 i want Nicole Kidman the fashionista back or else just stay home with the chickens!

Well that about wraps it up for this years fashion recap. Again this is just my opinion which really means nothing so let me know what you think! Do you agree, disagree, or have an opinion on who i passed up?  

Lets hope this year those on this list can either keep it up or change it up!
