Instagram Life and Sincere Apologies, Love Andrea

I know there have been apologies of not as many posts lately and I am about to throw another one out there. I have been wanting to be fancy and make things, but I have been so busy and also in a weird place of little-to-no motivation. I have a very excited endeavor ahead of me that promise I will share with you when everything is settled.

This is what my insides are doing.

Now on to sharing a little of what I have done the last few days!

Littlest niece is going through an identity crisis.

It's that time of year again where Lisa, my sister Kelly, and I are the beer girls for my dad's work golf outing. Also, my brother in law* is a brave man giving me that golf club.

Kelly and I had a slumber party! Rosebud joined in on the fun...until Adam* came home.

Stumbled on some old family photos. (My mom is the little girl in the left photo, and my dad is in the stroller in the right photo)

Chucky and I went to the Vintage Grand Prix at the loverly Schenley Park in the city. It ruled. It smelled like the race track my brother and I used to play with and almost catch the carpet on fire from sparking cars.

My heart.

Silvia: Queen of the castle.

What have you dolls been up to? I've missed you!

Fresh Berry Muffins.

Here is a quick & tasty little recipe for berry muffins. Since it is right in the middle of raspberry season I have been baking with them a lot. This was one of my favorites so far (along with a crostata but i'll save that for a later day.)

Fresh Raspberry Muffins:

6 tbs of butter
1/3 cup of milk
1 egg + 1 yolk
3/4 tsp of vanilla
1 1/2 cup of flour
3/4 cup of sugar
1 1/2 tsp of baking powder
3/4 tsp of salt
1 1/2 cup of berries

Mix together all ingredients and bake at 375 degrees for 18-20 min.

Enjoy! And remember that you can use any other type of berry in place of raspberries.

Have a beautiful weekend!

Rescued Gardens..

I am the type of girl who goes to the "dying" plant section of hardware stores to try and find sweet deals on plants that simply need a little tlc, so I was pretty excited a couple weeks ago when Jake and I were down in the strip district and we found a dumpster of full of little starter Impatiens. I plucked out the nicest bunch to take home. A few days after that I was given a little cutting from a spider plant & so the other day I took the time to try and give these little plants a second start...

My mother always had a house & porch full of plants when I was younger and that was probably was of my favorite things about our home.
Plants add that little bit of something special.

Hope you have a wonderful 4th!
