Thirty-Five Years and Counting

Today is my parent's anniversary and it is a pretty big one (I believe 100 years), so I thought I would share some of their story.

They both grew up in a small town in Ohio, where her dad was the only optometrist and his parents owned two very successful restaurants. They both attended St. Joseph's Catholic School from kindergarten through 12th grade. That is where they met, I believe it was in typing class. My dad, who would always call my mom Sheila, would ask her for a piece of paper and pencil so much that one day, when he came into class, she already had it sitting on his desk so he wouldn't bother her. They began dating when she was 16 and he was 19 and the rest is history, as they say.

I always loved my mom's wedding dress. The lace is so pretty and delicate. What do I have to say about those ruffles you ask? Dad, you're doing it right.

Honeymoon in Gatlinburg, TN

Over these 35 years, they managed to have three extremely cute children. I am pretty sure that's not fair, especially the youngest one. What a doll baby! ::wink::

Richard Lee. Born Feb, 17 1979           Best Friends            Kelly Marie. Born Oct. 16, 1980
Andrea Marie. Born Nov, 7 1988                                         My high school graduation 2007

They also have two cute grandgals, one from Rich (Camila) and one from Kelly (Addison), that are the most adorable kids you will ever see.

Happy 35th Anniversary Mom and Dad! I love you both very much!
